Frequently Asked Questions

Can I publish under a pen name?
Yes, you can.Our contract state both your real name and (if applicable) your pen name. A contract is issued for each title, so you could even use different pen names if needed.

My work is not copyrighted, what can i do?
First of all, you need to know that your work is automatically copyrighted once published. The copyright establishes the paternity of your work as well as the date it was created. However you may want to take extra steps. If you don’t want to pay the fees to the copyright office, a very simple way to proceed is to print out your work, sign every page, put it in an envelope and send it to yourself by registered mail. Keep the envelope in a safe place, unopened, in case you ever need to produce evidence to a court.

I have written a picture book, can you publish it?
We mainly focus on eBook formats as the allow a very wide distribution. However these formats are mostly adapted to text book. That’s why at the moment, we do not publish any picture book.

Is it possible to have Paperback books as well?
Yes we can think of a paperback version once your eBook version has been published and is starting to sell. The decision to go for a paperback version is treated on a case by case basis.

Do you publish children books?
Yes we do. However keep in mind that we are publishing in eBook formats, which involve online payment and to own a tablet/device in order to read them. Unlike paperback books, children, in that case, may have to rely more on their parents to buy the eBook, hence restricting the sales potential of your title.
